The New CoverageMap.com Website Is Here

New international pages, more data, and universal search

Hey friend,

Today we are excited to announce the all-new CoverageMap.com.

This isn’t just a new design.

This is a new platform. We re-built every page from the ground-up with significantly richer data.

Let’s dive in to the full update.

Going Global: Real-World Data Beyond The U.S.

The new site launches detailed location pages for regions in all supported countries:

Each location page now has significantly richer data.

The Performance by Carrier snapshot breaks down real-world performance across the different mobile network operators (MNOs) in the region.

The Performance Summary section makes it easy to identify the top performing cellular networks in a region at a glance.

Overhauled Provider Pages

Whether you’re researching an Mobile Network Operator (MNO) or an Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) running on someone else’s towers, the new provider pages give you the full picture.

Performance Breakdown

The Performance section gives you a visual summary of the provider’s download speed, upload speed, latency, and reliability scores across its network.

Network Details

The new Network Details section shows you what network technologies, frequencies, and bands a provider uses.

MCC, MNC, and PLMN

The new site now breaks down the Mobile Country Code (MCC), Mobile Network Code (MNC), and Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) identifiers used by each of the networks.

We even show the Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) for the providers.

MVNOs

Explore a full list of the smaller carriers using the provider’s network for coverage.

What’s New: The Full Feature List

The redesigned CoverageMap.com includes:

  • 🌎  International Support: Search for any city or region in the U.S., Canada, UK, and Puerto Rico

  • 🔍  Universal Search: A single search bar for locations, providers, and MVNOs, now live on the website and in the mobile app

  • 📊 More Detailed Location Pages: Performance Summary Snapshots with top-carrier callouts and test counts

  • 📡 More Detailed Provider Pages: Full technical profiles for MNOs and MVNOs (see above)

  • 🌙 Light and Dark Mode: System-aware theming across the platform

  • 📱 Improved In-App Experience: A smoother, faster interface in the Coverage Map mobile app

  • ⚙️  New Aggregated Crowdsourced Data Engine: Built to scale as international coverage expands

This new data engine is the foundation we’ve been building toward.

With over 10 million speed tests in the U.S. alone, and hundreds of thousands more across Canada, the UK, and Puerto Rico, we’re getting closer every day to the most comprehensive crowdsourced cellular performance resource available.

We couldn’t be more excited about this launch.

And we can’t wait for you to see what is in store for background signal strength mapping.

We hope you love the new website.

Thanks,

Stetson

P.S. - Along with the new site, we launched a new Starter Plan for our Coverage API. The Starter Plan is $149/mo and includes 500 location lookups, making integrating coverage checks into your workflow more accessible than ever before. Try it free.
