Announcing the CoverageMap Speed Test!

Hey,

Stetson here.

In my last email, shared our current biggest problem with CoverageMap.com: how uploading data to the crowdsourced Speed Test Map is challenging.

I also shared four of the biggest problems with current speed test apps:

  1. Not being able to run multiple tests back to back

  2. Not being able to set data usage limits

  3. Cropping your results out when you go to share your speed test on social media

  4. Not automatically contributing to the crowdsourced Speed Test Map

Today, I’m showing you our solution.

We custom-built a speed test directly in the Coverage Map app.

The Coverage Map Speed Test fixes the four biggest features with current speed test apps:

  • You can run recurring tests

  • You can set data usage limit

  • You can share your tests on social media without having your results cropped out

  • Every speed test you run automatically contributes to the Speed Test Map, the fastest-growing crowdsourced map of cellular coverage that is public facing

Let me just show you with a quick 5-minute video:

We have spent the last 7 months working incredibly hard on this (Trevor especially!) and over $100,000 in developing the application.

We think you’ll love it.

It launches on Monday.

BUT…

There’s one more problem.

What about mapping areas with NO cellular coverage?

Sure, comparing area with coverage is insanely helpful to consumers.

But almost MORE helpful is the ability to see areas where you will NOT have service.

Can it be done?

Stay tuned for my next email, coming on Sunday.

I think you’ll like the news I have to share :)

How do you incentivize people to download an app, run tests, and help contribute to the fastest-growing crowdsourced map of cellular coverage?

We didn’t want to leave this to chance.

To celebrate the launch of the new Coverage Map Speed Test, we’re giving away a brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Each new hexagon you map with using the Coverage Map Speed Test will give you one entry into the iPhone 15 Pro Max raffle.

The more entries you have, the higher your chance of winning.

But the giveaway is limited-time.

You only have seven days to enter.

Full details coming in Sunday’s email.

Don’t miss it, otherwise you could lose out on a free new iPhone.
