The #1 Problem with CoverageMap.com
...and how we are fixing it.
Hey,
Stetson here.
On March 23rd, 2023, Trevor and I officially launched CoverageMap.com, a brand-new crowdsourced map of cellular coverage.
And people loved it!
In the past year, over 8,500 people have contributed over 3.5 MILLION speed tests to the map.
But there was one big problem:
It was a pain to contribute data to the map!
Even though the map was incredible and we launched with features no other consumer map had seen before, such as…
The ability to filter the map by data speeds
The ability to show maps for upload speeds and latency
The ability to color the map by best, average, or median values
The ability to show your speed tests only
The first-ever map of standalone 5G
…it was challenging for people to actually contribute data to the map!
To upload data to the crowdsourced Speed Test Map, you had to run a speed test in another app, export your results as a CSV file, email the file to yourself, download the file on your computer, save the file, drag it on to the CoverageMap website––it was a mess!
What good is a crowdsourced map if it is hard to contribute data to?
At the time, we were also hearing about four big problems people were experiencing with current speed test apps:
You couldn’t run multiple tests back to back
You couldn’t set data usage limits
Your results got cropped out when you tried to share your speed test screenshot on social media
None of the speed test apps automatically contributed to the crowdsourced Speed Test Map
So, Trevor and I are fixing all of these problems.
We have been working tirelessly over the past 7 months and have spent over $100,000 to bring you a new speed test app we think you’ll love.
It launches in 4 days.
Here’s a sneak peek at my #1 favorite feature, the ability to run multiple speed tests:
I think you will love the new Coverage Map Speed Test.
I can’t wait to show you more in the next email, coming this Saturday.
In the meantime, check out the original launch video of CoverageMap.com and the impressive crowdsourced coverage map:
See you Saturday!

P.S. To celebrate the launch of the Coverage Map Speed Test, we are giving away a free iPhone 15 Pro Max! Stay tuned for the next email to learn how you can enter to win.
